The Homemade Kitchen Cookbook is
Your Go-To Kitchen Resource
Easy Staple Recipes for Every Home
Everyday essentials like pot roast, soups, homemade bread, pasta dishes, and go-to recipes for sauces, cinnamon rolls, and other kitchen basics—all in one place. These are the recipes you’ll reach for again and again.
Built Around Techniques, Not Just Ingredients
These recipes aren’t just a list of ingredients, they teach you how to cook. You’ll know how to make dishes your way, using what you have on hand. For example, chicken soup starts with sautéing aromatics, then adding broth, chicken, and veggies. Want noodles instead of rice? Extra vegetables? Beans instead of pasta? You’ve got the method, so you can customize it however works for your family. And don’t worry, there’s still a simple, step-by-step recipe to follow if you prefer to stick to instructions.
Multiple Cooking Methods
Every recipe includes multiple cooking options like stovetop, oven, Instant Pot, crockpot, and even air fryer when it makes sense. This way, you can choose what works for your schedule, kitchen setup, and energy level that day.
Organized for Easy Meal Planning
The cookbook is sorted by proteins such as ground beef, chicken, pork, beef roasts, and seafood, so you can quickly find recipes based on what you have in your kitchen. With this organization, meal planning becomes faster, ingredients are used more efficiently, and you’ll waste less food.
Family-Friendly & Practical
These are meals that fit real life. Quick weeknight dinners, batch-cooked staples, and adaptable dishes that work for your family without taking over your day.
From Simple to Special Occasion
Many recipes are quick and easy, but there are also approachable “fancier” dishes like shrimp scampi, seared steak, or chicken Marsala. Creating restaurant-style meals at home for a fraction of the cost is simpler than you think, and many recipes use staple ingredients you already have in your kitchen.
Flexible Main Dishes
Burritos, sliders, rice bowls, tacos, and ramen bowls that can be made with a variety of proteins—perfect for adapting to what you have on hand.
Built-In Meal Planning & Over 400 Meal Ideas
With notes on batch cooking, freezing, using leftovers, and variations for each recipe, you’ll never run out of ideas. Include all the variations and you have over 400 ways to make dinner! A handy recipe index lets you quickly find meals by season, theme, or protein, making it easy to plan your week. All your go-to family meals are in one place, so deciding “what’s for dinner?” is simple—no more hunting through Pinterest or multiple cookbooks.
Real, Whole Ingredients
All of the recipes are made from scratch using real, whole ingredients and no seed oils, with some recipes offering convenient shortcuts when you need them—for example, the poppy seed chicken can be made with a quick canned soup option or completely from scratch. Meals are balanced, satisfying, and nourishing, with many main dishes easy to make low-carb. Throughout the cookbook, you’ll find some dairy-free and gluten-free options, though not every recipe fits those needs.
Inside the Cookbook
The Homemade Kitchen is spiral bound, so it lays flat on your counter for easy use while cooking. Every page is packed with helpful information, tips, and cooking techniques—no extra pictures, just everything you need to make delicious, reliable meals.

How to Order
Why I created The Homemade Kitchen
When my husband and I were first married, I didn’t know much about cooking. Meal planning, budgeting, and figuring out how to feed my family felt overwhelming. I went to culinary school and learned many baking and cooking techniques, but I quickly realized that home cooking needed to be simpler—practical, flexible, and doable for everyday life.
Over the years, I noticed many of my friends were in the same boat—they hadn’t grown up learning to cook and often found themselves stuck in dinner ruts, unsure what to make for dinner.
As I grew in my cooking skills, I never could find a cookbook that truly fit real family life. I’d try recipes here and there from cookbooks, but most were too complicated, too time-consuming or expensive, or called for ingredients I didn’t normally have on hand. Over time, I built up a huge collection of recipes I loved, but they were scattered everywhere, hard to find, and hard to keep track of. I wanted to consolidate them into one practical resource: a cookbook that focuses on techniques and methods, with base ingredients and plenty of options to suit each family’s style and needs.
I wanted to help fill that gap and create something that made cooking easier, so moms and families could feel confident in the kitchen. That’s why I wrote The Homemade Kitchen—a collection of staple recipes families rely on most, all in one place, with methods, variations, and tips included. Every recipe is flexible, so you can make it work for your day—swap ingredients, adjust cooking methods, or prepare ahead.
This is the cookbook I wish I had when I first started cooking—and the one I hope every mom, home cook, and family will keep in their kitchen. It’s designed to simplify home cooking, make everyday meals nourishing and approachable, and help families get out of dinner ruts and enjoy practical, versatile, delicious meals.
